The tour will start in New Delhi on 1st March and will end in New Delhi on 18th March and will be all inclusive throughout the trip in India.

It will include a ten day Meditation & Dharma Discussion Retreat in Bodh Gaya based on my book ‘Talking Dharma’ which is a pre-sectarian, pragmatic and secular (non-religious and of this age) approach to the timeless philosophical wisdom of Siddhartha Gautama, the historical Buddha.

In New Delhi you will visit all of the major tourist spots and it will include a rikshaw ride around the Old Delhi spice markets. After an overnight sleeper train journey we arrive in Varanasi to experience all the spectacles that this region offers including ‘The Indian Job’ tuk tuk rally to the Ganges and a sunset barge ride to witness the famous burning ghats and nightly ceremonies. Next day we will visit the famous deer park and other Buddhist sites in Sarnath.

From there we head to Bodh Gaya to settle into retreat mode but will make alternate day visits to the spectacular Vultures Peak, the ancient Nalanda university complex, the cave of the emaciated Buddha and ‘The Happy Children’s School’ which we suppprt financially.

At the end of the retreat we will fly back to New Delhi and onwards to Agra to visit The Taj Mahal and Red Fort. The next day we travel to Jaipur stopping off at Fatchur Sikiri to see its sights. In Jaipur we will be visiting the Amber fort, the Nahargaarh fort, and Jantar Mantar city palace. Then it’s back to New Delhi for any remaining sightseeing and flights home.

This very personalised tour will offer many things that you will never get to see and do on a commercial tour at a fraction of the cost because for us, it’s about sharing the experience and not profit margins.

The tour is limited to a maximum of 14 people and some places have already been reserved, so If you are interested please email me on [email protected] and I will send you the full itinerary including costs. Please forward this to anyone you know who may be interested.
